Bryan Mbeumo has completed a permanent transfer to Manchester United from Brentford, marking a club-record sale for the Bees[1].

The 25-year-old forward leaves Brentford after scoring 70 goals and providing 51 assists in 242 appearances, placing him among the top scorers in the club’s history[1]. Mbeumo’s standout 2024/25 season included 20 Premier League goals and eight assists, earning him Brentford’s Goal of the Season award for a spectacular volley against Tottenham Hotspur[1].

After several weeks of negotiation, Manchester United agreed with Brentford on a deal reported to be worth over £70 million ($94m), including a guaranteed £65 million paid in installments and an additional £6 million in add-ons[2][3]. The transfer was highly contested, with previous bids rejected and competition from clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, but Mbeumo always preferred a move to Old Trafford[2].
