Siwelele FC, the newly-formed Premier Soccer League club, will play the majority of their 2025/26 home fixtures in Bloemfontein, with most matches at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium, shared with Marumo Gallants[1]. High-profile games against Orlando Pirates (23 September), Mamelodi Sundowns (2 December), and Kaizer Chiefs (1 February 2026) will be held at Toyota Stadium to accommodate larger crowds. Only two home games—the fixtures against Polokwane City (19 August) and Magesi FC (16 May 2026)—are scheduled outside Bloemfontein, hosted at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville[1].
On the field, Siwelele FC showed promise at the start of their campaign, notably securing a 3-1 victory over Golden Arrows with goals from Siviwe Magidigidi, Maliele Vincent Pule, and other contributors[2]. Their next match is scheduled against Richards Bay FC, marking the first league encounter between these two teams in the Betway Premiership[3]. Both Siwelele FC and Richards Bay enter the fixture with three points from four matches, each having registered one win and three defeats so far[3]. Siwelele’s most recent match was a 2-0 defeat to TS Galaxy[4].
The club has also strengthened its squad during the current transfer window by securing the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs winger Tebogo Potsane[5].
Chairman Calvin Le John has emphasized Siwelele FC’s purpose as an effort not to rebrand, but to nurture a footballing legacy and the identity of the Mangaung community, building on the heritage of Bloemfontein Celtic[7].
