The schedule details when each category of grant will be paid, helping to streamline distribution and minimize payment delays[1]:

  • Disability Grant: Payments commence on 4th July and 4th August 2025.
  • Child Support Grant: Payments begin on 5th July and 5th August 2025.

  • Older Persons Grant – Tuesday, 5 August 2025
  • Disability Grant – Wednesday, 6 August 2025
  • Children’s Grants – Thursday, 7 August 2025
  • Additional new fourth payment date for specific grants from August 2025 onward

Grant amounts for August 2025 are confirmed to be:

  • Old Age (60–74 years) and Disability grants – R2,315
  • Old Age (75+ years) – R2,335
  • War Veterans Grant – R2,315
  • Care Dependency Grant – R2,315
  • Child Support Grant – R560
  • Foster Care Grant – R1,250
  • SRD Grant – R370

SASSA is actively conducting a significant review process to confirm the continued eligibility of beneficiaries. This involves targeted reviews—especially for those flagged due to potentially undisclosed income or changed financial circumstances[6][7][8]. Beneficiaries are reminded of their legal obligation to report any changes, and those under review must respond to SASSA’s notices promptly. Suspended grants can be reinstated if beneficiaries provide verification and prove continued qualification[3].
