Slavia Prague has confirmed the imminent departure of highly sought-after Senegalese midfielder El Hadji Malick Diouf. Head coach Jindřich Trpišovský stated that Diouf’s transfer is virtually certain, with West Ham United in the English Premier League poised to secure his signature. The agreed transfer fee is reported to be close to €25 million, marking the largest sale in Slavia Prague’s history and Diouf’s first move to the Premier League. Diouf played what may have been his final match for Slavia in a friendly against Linz, which ended 1-0 in favor of the Czech side[1][7]. Club president Jaroslav Tvrdík confirmed ongoing talks and indicated that offers from the Premier League are seldom rejected, provided the conditions are right[5].
Recently, Slavia Prague continued their pre-season campaign with a friendly victory over Diosgyor on July 9, 2025[8]. Additionally, the club secured a 2-1 win against Ludogorets in their first summer friendly, with goals from Hyll, including one from the penalty spot. Ludogorets managed to pull one back early in the second half, but Slavia held on to clinch the victory[6].
Looking back on their domestic season, Slavia Prague clinched their 22nd league title in the 2024/25 Chance Liga with a commanding 5-0 victory in Olomouc. Vasil Kusej starred with a hat trick in that game. Earlier in the year, Slavia also advanced to the domestic cup quarterfinals after a dramatic extra-time win over Táborsko[2].
