kaizer chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have been active in the current transfer window, confirming several new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season. The club has officially announced the arrivals of Ethan Chislett from Port Vale (England), Portuguese striker Flavio Silva from Persebaya Surabaya (Indonesia), and defender Nkanyiso Shinga from FC Alverca (Portugal)[1][7]. Chislett, known for his attacking creativity, and Silva, who had a prolific stint in Indonesia, are joined by Shinga, a versatile Durban-born player returning to South Africa after years abroad.

Additionally, Chiefs have secured the signing of midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu. The 28-year-old, formerly with Orlando Pirates and most recently with the now-defunct SuperSport United, is expected to strengthen the midfield ranks as the club aims to improve on last season’s disappointing league finish[2][3]. The announcement of Ndlovu’s arrival continues Amakhosi’s theme of reinforcing key positions to address the squad’s depth issues.

Despite these additions, Chiefs have missed out on some top targets. Orlando Pirates managed to sign both Sipho Mbule and Oswin Appollis, players heavily linked with Chiefs. There are also reports that another rumoured target, Stephane Aziz Ki, could be heading to Wydad Casablanca in Morocco instead[4][5]. The rumour mill had also linked Peter Shalulile and Monnapule Saleng to Naturena, but these have been firmly debunked by the club[1].

Chiefs, after finishing outside the Top 8 last season but winning the Nedbank Cup, are under pressure from both fans and coach Nasreddine Nabi to back up ambitions with marquee signings. More additions are expected before the window closes, as the squad prepares for a pre-season camp in the Netherlands and the start of the CAF Confederation Cup in August[7].
